In the eight week of my middle school life I learned how to calculate the slope of a line. You pick two points on the line and you find the difference between the x and y coordinates. Ex. (2,3) and (-3,4). You then put the rise above the run. Y=rise X=run Ex. 1/-5 The second thing I learned is how to clean dark marks of the eraser on a mechanical pencil. I just erase it on a white blank sheet of paper. The third thing I learned is what the Coriolis Effect is. It's the apparent curving of the path of winds and ocean currents due to the Earth's rotation. The fourth thing I learned is about "beginning with an open mind". The "Lead" teachers taught me this in the morning. The fifth thing I learned is about doldrums. Doldrums are calms areas located in the equator where warm air rises.
