Question: If the main character of the story suddenly disappeared, how would the story be different?
Answer: For starters the story would not have the famous football player that could "fly". The main character's dad would be very lonely and sad because the main character is all hes got and his spouse is in the next world. The main character's friends wouldn't be a trio it would just be a double. The other characters that have just met the main character wouldn't have never known him.

Question: How would the story be different if it was told in first person point of view?
Answer: The story would be mostly about what the main character thinks. It would also include how he feels towards himself and others as the plot goes along. The reader wouldn't know much about the other character's emotions. The reader won't know what the other characters that are away from the main characters eyes are doing because a human doesn't have two eyes. I'm sorry there is no book this week because I wasn't done reading my book that week. The book was a big book and I'm not really a fan of big books so it took me a while to finish reading it.
Question: Which point of view is this book told in? Is this the best view to tell it? Why or Why not?
Answer: My book is told in a third person view and I don't think this is the best view to tell the story. In my book each chapter is about a different character. Each chapter does tell you a little bit of what the characters are thinking and how they feel. But I think it would be best to tell this in first person because I could tell what the different characters are thinking and feeling. Question: Pick one character in your book you would like to befriend and why.
Answer: One character I would pick is Meilin because her spirit animal is a panda. For me pandas are very cool and cute but also ferocious. I would love to have a pet friend panda. Meilin is also courageous and and strong. One example of this is when she fought off the mega sharks that were trying to kill the Whales. Question: What has amazed, interested, or stood out to any of the characters in the book?
Answer: The finding of the mermaid with blond hair and a green tail has amazed Billy because he really wanted to find one after hearing about it. The mermaid saved Billy's life from a Hammerhead Shark. Although the mermaid couldn't speak, Billy could still communicate with her, and have some fun. Mermaids are fairy tales so I think anybody would be amazed by seeing one with their own eyes.. Question: What, if anything, did you gain by reading this book? Should I use it again some time with another class in the month of November? Why or Why not?
Answer: By reading this book I gained both RC points and words count for my RC progress. I gained a little knowledge about football because I don't know much about football. I also gained the improvement of focus and concentration on this book because it is a big book after all and I have to focus on what's going on to understand it more clearly. I would use 2/3 of the things I gained in ELA because it helps me with my reading skills. Question: Put yourself in the author's shoes-Why do you think she/he wrote this book?
Answer: The author wrote this book to entertain the readers about a football. The author might've liked or loved football when he was a kid, so he wrote this book. Or the author might've known a good QB football player and decided to write this book dedicated to him. Question: How and why does this book remind you of something else?
Answer: This book reminds me of that one time I went camping with my dad and 2 of my friends in the woods. This reminds me of that time because we were roasting hot-dogs on the fire we made. We were telling stories that were both funny and scary. We also went swimming and climbing tall trees we could find. |
